i like queerplatonic zelink not because i think them being strictly romantic is wrong but because i feel like its wildly in character for their levels of dramatics to have a relationship dynamic nobody but them understands

like yeah there goes princess zelda and her appointed swordsman, no they arent dating but yes they sleep in the same bed and will spend the rest of their lives together but no it isnt romantic but yes they love each other and are endlessly devoted to each other. they communicate solely through visions and self sacrifice and if you get rid of one the other will kill you with their bare hands. hope this helps <3

hey! disability advocates, i would appreciate it if yall read this. especially if it is uncomfortable for you to hear.

there is always someone who needs more support than you.

this does not mean that you do not deserve support. this does not mean you do not deserve treatment. this does not mean that your needs should not be met.

this does mean that your struggles should not be the end to your advocacy. this does mean that if something is difficult for you, it is inaccessible for someone else. this does mean that different forms of disability need to be kept in mind when it comes to advocating for accessibility.

i am extremely fortunate to be as well off as i am. my family is able to support my medical bills and can afford specialists. i can still walk with support. i can communicate verbally the vast majority of the time. i have access to mobility aids and other things that ease my struggles. im white and have reliable access to housing. i am lucky to have these and so many other things.

when you are advocating for disabled rights, always remember there are people who need various accommodations. options need to be available to people with all kinds of disabilities. being disabled is complicated, and it intersects with all sorts of marginalized groups. there is no one way to be disabled or accessible. just because something works for you, doesnt mean it works for everyone.

thank you and have a nice day.

Autistic spaces are getting so much more hostile towards people with low empathy, and it sucks

There was a subreddit I really liked, people were chill, and then there was a sudden influx of people making posts like ‘Autistic people have empathy! Saying we don’t makes us seem like monsters! Thats not a symptom!’ And people making posts explaining that no, actually, some of us do have low empathy got attacked and told they were wrong or ableist? And it sucks, because its just so hard to find a place to exist where you can be seen as not evil? I don’t know, it just hurts a lot to be told that

"Don't make me tap the sign" meme. The sign says "empathy is not a prerequisite for being a kind or good human being; compassion is an act we mindfully perform, not a feeling"ALT

if Candice has a picture phone why did she never just take a photo of what phineas and ferb were doing and text it to her mom

if she did this doofenshmirtz would just be like you see perry the platypus i sold my old computer at the pawn shop but i forgot to delete all those embarrassing photos from the christmas party, which is why i’ve invented the pixel-replacinator! and then as candace is going to text her mom the photo the phone gets hit with the beam and she looks down and she’s just texted her mom a photo of doofenshmirtz in a sexy elf costume or smth. candace can never fucking win the universe bends to facilitate her psychological torment

listen. There’s a whole mentality shift that needs to happen culture wide here, from the schools to the public infrastructure to pet ownership to the justice system

The proper response to your dog doing a natural behavior you dislike (digging/barking/protecting etc) it to give them an appropriate time and place to engage in that behavior

The proper response to skateboarders damaging infrastructure is to build more and better skate parks, or build skate elements into the public infrastructure on purpose.

The proper response to homeless people sleeping on park benches is to build them houses.

you see how there’s like, a commonality at play here?

The proper response to a disruption is to address the root of the disruption directly, not somehow attack the disruption itself -

you don’t invent a muffler by swinging a bat at the engine noise, you don’t relieve your hunger by punching yourself in the stomach, you don’t resolve public unrest by sending armed men to control them and you don’t prevent homeless people using bus shelters as a roof by removing the bus shelters.

a whole ass shift in a basic mindset, i’m tellin’ you. We need it.

I keep having to tear down extremely predatory/misleading Scien.tology flyers in my school’s art building. This is the third fucking time I’ve ripped the fuckers up and I’m getting Real Fucking Tired of it.

If you see shit like this DO NOT call the number, do not do anything to interact with these fucking people. Take down the posters if you’re able to. They do NOT want to help you. They are a literal fucking cult who openly despise psychology and any actual proven mental health science, and are actively trying to trick mentally/emotionally vulnerable people into joining.

The red flags here are “Hubbard,” the name of their founder, and “dianetics,” the crackpot theory they teach for “auditing” your sins from your past lives.

I’d like to add what @jaspertheshark said in the tags because I feel it’s important

D&D has become so much more fun since it clicked for me that I’m not the character, I’m the writer in charge of the character

If you’re the character, bad rolls and bad calls reflect badly on you. You want to Win because that means you’re doing D&D right, and if things go wrong, it’s because you’re doing it wrong.

If you’re the writer, your number one job is to do things to your character that the character does not like because that gives them the chance to be interesting.

“Neurodivergence” does in fact not just refer to “autism, ADHD and maybe dyslexia”. Neurodivergent is a term meant for literally everyone who has a diagnosis which affects the way their brain works. That’s why it was created. To be inclusive. Go ask the person who invented it because they stated this clearly
